The input format consists of RA and Dec values. Right Ascension and Declination values that must be in J2000 coordinates and can be specified in decimal degrees or colon separated sexagesimal coords. A radius can be specified in minutes of arc but defaults to 0.1. The data returned is for all CSS objects within the radius range of the input coordinates.
Photcat contains all the photometry for the frames that match objects in the master frames. This contains the associated master object and master frame ID. This also contains a flag to say whether the measurement vary WRT the magnitude if the object in the master frame (TVAR).Orphancat
Ophancat contains the detections that are covered by the master frame area but do not match sources detected in the master frames.
The output of the query is returned to either a webpage (html), a comma separated ascii file (csv), or the IVOA standard VOTable. Webpage output is limited to the short output format and number 3000 lines. Other formats are limited to 20,000 lines.
Two separate output formats are available, long and short. The short format consists of Magnitude, the uncertainty in magitude, the Modified Julian Date, the decimal RA and Decination of each detection. The long format includes are number of additional parameters including FWHM, exposure time, airmass, etc.
Plots of the lightcurves can be display and manipulated for a limited sample of objects.
This service is solely provided for the investigation astronomical sources monitored CSS project and is provided by CRTS. The service provides source photometry derived from the SExtractor photometry package. CSS images are all taken unfiltered. Magnitudes provide here are in V-band. Rough transformation and photometric calibration is based on a few 10's to 100's stars within each frame. Contact CRTS members for further details to photometry.
